Building a Stronger Community Through Strategic Planning

This year, I had the privilege of leading the strategic planning process for the Rotary Club of Flagler County.

What began as a brainstorming session with our club members has evolved into a clear, actionable roadmap to guide our future efforts. Presenting the final five-year plan to the club recently was a proud moment. This marked the culmination of months of collaboration, creativity, and commitment.

The process of strategic planning is both challenging and inspiring. It requires digging deep into the values that drive an organization, the structure of its committees, and the ways it impacts the community.

I learned so much about the Rotary Club’s many contributions, from signature events like Fantasy Lights to programs that make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. Most importantly, I witnessed the dedication of our members to living out Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self.

This experience reinforced my passion for serving and leading in our community.

Strategic planning is a wonderful way to unite people, align efforts and lay the foundation for meaningful impact. I am grateful to Rotary for trusting me with this responsibility and for reminding me why I love this work so much.
